Areas of Focus
In today’s fast paced world, many of us are finding that we give so much to others and spread ourselves so thin, that we have nothing left for ourselves. Helping people find balance in their lives has become a passion of mine. This goes beyond the issue of carving out time for yourself. At a deeper level, it is about you and I discovering together what compels you to say yes to everyone else, often resulting in stress, exhaustion, resentment, and missing out on what feeds your soul.
Another special interest I have developed is helping people who are very critical of themselves. People may not recognize how harsh they are on themselves or how it is affecting them until we begin to explore this together.
People often tell me they notice shifts have occurred as we move through this process, freeing them to make choices and changes in the way they relate to other people, the way they perceive themselves, and the way they go about their lives.
I am also especially drawn to helping people with the following concerns:
- Confidence and self esteem
- Assertiveness – empowering you to appropriately assert yourself
- Relationship counseling
Other concerns I enjoy helping people cope with and improve are:
- Loss and grief
- Life transitions
- Eating disorders
